Dr. Antonio Romero is a bilingual, clinical psychologist who offers his expertise in evaluating children, teens, and young adults with a variety of presenting challenges, including those related to learning, attention, executive function skill, and social-emotional functioning.
Through the evaluation process, Dr. Romero gains insight into a student's learning style, cognitive skills, and social-emotional understanding. He uses those results to help students perform at their optimal level - engaging their strengths to support their areas of challenge. Dr. Romero supports families and schools as they develop a plan to support the student’s unique learning and social-emotional needs.
Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Romero has worked as a school psychologist. In this role, he provided assessments, helped to shape Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s), and worked with families to understand testing results and the path forward in supporting their children. In addition to assessment, Dr. Romero also provided school-based therapy for elementary through high school aged children.
Dr. Romero also has a passion for martial arts which has been a great influence on his journey into psychology. He has a strong understanding of the connection of the mind and body, and he is often able to use this perspective in his work with students with a passion for sports.
Dr. Romero earned a B.A. in Psychology from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from William James College in Newton, MA.
