Dr. Samantha Johnston is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in assessments. She conducts evaluations with children and adolescents who are experiencing attention deficits, challenges with executive functioning, learning disabilities, emotional difficulties, and complex medical issues.
She approaches her work as a psychologist with empathy, warmth, and humor. She believes that individuals are made up of many strengths which, with the right understanding, can be used to work through their vulnerabilities.
Dr. Johnston has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including residential and public schools, psychiatric hospitals, outpatients clinics, and private practices. She obtained specialized training and experience in conducting assessments at Bellevue Hospital Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornel Medical College, and a private practice in Manhattan. Dr. Johnston spent over a decade working in New York City before moving to the Boston area.
Dr. Johnston obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Colgate University in New York, graduating magna cum laude. She received her M.S.Ed. and her doctorate degree in a combined School-Clinical Psy.D. program at Pace University in Manhattan.
Outside of work, Dr. Johnston enjoys running, playing tennis, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
